Last Summer - short reading using Simple Past

Last Summer

Short story using Simple Past

Last summer, my family and I had an amazing vacation at the beach. We woke up early every morning and walked along the sandy shore. The waves crashed gently, and seagulls flew overhead. We collected colorful seashells and watched crabs scurry along the water's edge.

During the day, we played beach volleyball and built magnificent sandcastles. My little sister giggled while she buried me in the sand, and we all laughed together. The sun was bright, and the water was refreshing. We also enjoyed delicious ice cream cones, trying different flavors each day.

In the evenings, we sat on beach blankets and watched the mesmerizing sunset. The sky turned shades of pink, orange, and purple, creating a breathtaking scene. Sometimes we brought out a guitar and sang songs under the starlit sky. It was a vacation filled with joy, laughter, and beautiful memories.
