Advice Columnist

Advice Columnist Many people have personal problems and sometimes they don’t know what to do. That’s why they write to advice columnists in magazines or on the internet. An advice columnist is a person who listens to people’s problems and gives useful suggestions. I think this job is very interesting because you can help others without knowing them personally. If I were an advice columnist, I would listen carefully to every story before answering. For example, if someone felt lonely, I would tell them to spend more time with friends or family. If a student had trouble studying, I would recommend creating a study plan and taking small breaks. Giving advice is not always easy, but it’s important to be kind and respectful. Sometimes, readers write about serious problems like stress, relationships, or self-confidence. If I received those letters, I would try to give positive advice and encourage them to talk to a professional when necessary. I believe that if people followed good advice...

Doctor’s and Grandma’s Help

Last month, I had a terrible cold. I was coughing a lot, my throat hurt, and I felt very tired. When you feel sick, it’s important to rest and drink plenty of water. I decided to visit the doctor to know what to do. The doctor examined me and said that if I wanted to get better, I had to take some medicine and sleep at least eight hours every night. The doctor gave me good advice. He told me to take vitamin C every day to strengthen my immune system and to avoid cold drinks. He also said that if my fever got higher, I should go back to the clinic. I followed his instructions carefully because I wanted to recover quickly and return to work. When I came home, my grandma also wanted to help. She said that if I drank hot tea with honey and lemon , my throat would feel better. She told me to stay warm and to eat chicken soup to get more energy. I know her home remedies don’t replace the doctor’s treatment, but they always make me feel loved and comfortable. After a few days, I started to...

An Exciting Trip ✈️

✈️ An Exciting Trip Last year, I went on an exciting trip to Antigua, Guatemala with my family. We traveled by car, and it only took about two hours to get there. The city was full of beautiful colonial buildings, colorful streets, and friendly people. I had never visited Antigua before, so I was very curious to see everything. During the trip, we visited the main square, some old churches, and local markets. I also tried some delicious Guatemalan food like tamales and hot chocolate. We walked a lot, and I took many pictures of the mountains and volcanoes. The weather was sunny, so we enjoyed every activity outside. The most exciting moment of the trip was when we climbed part of the Pacaya Volcano. It was difficult because the road was steep, but when we arrived near the top, the view was amazing. I had never seen a volcano so close in my life, and it was unforgettable. This trip was very special because I spent time with my family and discovered new places. I have already told m...

Childhood Games and Memories

Imagen
Childhood Games and Memories When I was a child, life felt simpler and full of outdoor adventures. I spent most of my afternoons playing marbles with my friends. We drew a circle on the ground and tried to knock each other's marbles out of it using our own. It was both fun and competitive. Another favorite game was hopscotch. We drew boxes on the ground with chalk and hopped on one foot while trying not to lose our balance. We also enjoyed playing hide and seek, especially when we had a big group. One person had to count with their eyes closed while the others ran to find a hiding spot. The excitement of being found or finding someone else always made us laugh. Swinging at the park or riding the see-saw were also simple pleasures. I remember how high I felt on the swing, like I was flying. One game we called “Red Cross” was a running and chasing game that involved teamwork. We also loved to blow bubbles and watch them float in the air until they popped. On windy days, we flew kites...
